Being a Hypochondriac is a trouble.

We are all frail beings and it is our spirit that keeps us going no matter how the road is. We all realize that everyone has a different problem, yet we feel ours only because it is part of our thoughts. We think through our feelings and they shape our lens. We all feel pains every now and then for we are frail humans made up of small cells. We have pain receptors that send signals to our brain and as our brain areas perceive those signals we sense the pain. We should keep in mind another notion before I continue. We all know that practice makes you more efficient in typing, and when you are used to carry heavy objects, you get more muscular and your capacity of carrying more increases and this is due to not only the increase in muscle tone but also your brain is used to the heavy load and the brain map of persevering more load is strengthened and what they call “your will” is also better.

With this, let’s talk about the dark side of our ability to be more accustomed with things and how this can increase in our sensation which can lead to some horrible matters. A person may feel a slight pain at the level of his throat and he may ignore it and have a cup of tea and things go well with him and everything seems normal. Another guy may feel that pain and start feeling his throat, he starts uttering words to see if the pain increases as he talks. He rests a bit then inhales deeply to see if he senses anything as he is focused on his throat. He senses a slight pain, which might be due to the high focus and the intense thing he is doing to test his health. After that, the brain map that senses signals from his throat gets stronger, and he adds more focus on it, he starts to feel more at that level. Overtime, as he drinks a glass of water, he starts to sense the water moving in bumps at his throat level.

I am not trying to call people to be so reckless and ignore every feeling and track how their body functions, but our high vigilance can do us a lot of damage, for when we get engrossed sensing ourselves this way, we enter a cascade of self diagnosis…..  TO BE CONTINUED
